Day at the museum

Today we met up with our cousins & my grandma to go the museum. I haven't been there since I was probably 14. It was nice to get out and do something that we normally don't go and do. Ever since we went to Red River Carter has been wanting to see more dinosaurs. On the way to Red River we drove through Clayton, NM which has two dinosaurs as you enter the town. I should find out why but I haven't. So we made plans to go to the museum and see the dinosaurs. It was really fun there. They had several things that the kids could touch and play with and several things they thought they could play with. The dinosaurs looked smaller to me now but were still huge. It's funny how things get smaller when you get older.

Red River , NM

We just got back from a couple of days in Red River, NM. We had such a great time. We went with our friends Clint, Keri and Hunter. We rented a condo which was great with little ones. They could run around and have all sorts of fun. I was ready to see how Carter would act with a bunch of snow. The getting ready with all the snow gear was not his cup of tea but he loved playing in all of the snow. Chris, Carter and I walked up the road a bit to find a good sledding spot. I make Chris test it out for us. As he took his first run Carter yelled at him not to hit the tree. He was very observant! I got Carter's first sledding adventure on video then they got mine. Yeah, not very graceful. My video should be labeled what happens when your not sitting on a sled very well. We had so much fun. We also went tubing on the ski slope. I didn't think that I would really like it but it was a blast!

Overall I think our winter vacation was a hit. We will defiantly have to go back again!
